the story so far

How this got started

Zebra Cat Farm is a very new, very small farm business, just getting its roots down in Elk Grove. Right now that means paperwork more than produce — the business license is filed, the California seller's permit is in hand, and the business name filing is the last step before it's official.

Once things are up and running, the plan is to grow and sell produce, cut flowers, and pickles — grown and made right at home. For now, the website is just this: something simple, with the good stuff marked TBD until it's ready to share.

— more to come, thanks for checking in

What's growing

Three things this farm is being built around. None of it is for sale quite yet — but the beds are already in the ground.

Produce

Seasonal fruits and vegetables, grown in the raised beds out front — the way a backyard garden grows up into something more.

Cut Flowers

Bunches meant for a kitchen table or a friend's front step — whatever's blooming that week.

Pickles

Small-batch jars, once there's enough from the garden to fill the pot — brined, not bought.
